Mr. D. D. Misra

Mr. Misra is the former Director of ONGC, India's leading Maharatna E&P Company of Union Government. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) and underwent a Leadership Development Programme at IIM, Bangalore followed by overseas programmes at Alberta School of Business, Calgary (Canada) and University of Texas (US) in 2013.

Starting his career as Graduate Trainee, he left his imprint in diverse assignments given to him in over three decades with the Company. During his tenure in ONGC, he conceptualised and steered numerous sustainable HR Initiatives to enthuse the morale and motivation of the 33,000 plus regular employees and about 17,000 secondary workforce. As a unique HR Initiative, under his mentorship, he groomed a team of 6 ONGCians who scaled Mount Everest in May 2017 and a team of 9 who scaled Mount Kanchenjunga in May 2018.

During his service tenure he took active part in resolving disputes amicably through his personal efforts and effective mediation. He developed acumen in industrial relations, conciliation, and effective resolution of disputes through the method of alternative dispute resolution. He had also played an effective role in community development programmes by implementing various CSR related projects in Assam.
