Dr. Satya B

Dr. Satya B, former Director of NEEPCO (a Schedule ‘A’ CPSE in the power sector), has had a long association with POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD at its corporate headquarters in Delhi and Gurgaon. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, an International MBA, a Gold Medal in MSW (PM & IR), and an LL.B.

He has made significant contributions to organizational transformation in both POWERGRID and NEEPCO, with core expertise in organizational change, resource optimization, and socially responsible business practices. He successfully resolved numerous complex, long-pending legal and local issues, including major conciliation and mediation efforts. He facilitated dispute resolution for employees’ personal matters and played a key role in settling several commercial disputes in Delhi through amicable out-of-court settlements.

In the North Eastern Region, his notable contribution includes resolving disputes with local landowners and stakeholders during the construction of 800 kV HVDC lines and a substation at Biswanath Chariali, Assam, ensuring timely project completion. He also addressed project-related issues involving affected communities across Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Assam.

Dr. Satya B served as Chairman of SCOPE (NER Chapter) and was a member of its Executive Board for four years (two terms). His accolades include the “Rashtriya Gaurav Award,” “Atal Bihari Vajpayee Excellence Award,” “Global 100 Most Talented HR Professional in Asia Award,” “National HR Award,” “HR Leader Gold Award,” “Training Excellence Award,” and “Star PSU Director of the Year Award.”

He is also a visiting industry professor, a Ph.D. evaluation committee member in universities, and a mentor guiding youth in conduct, communication, and creativity. Additionally, he supports candidates preparing for senior roles in CPSEs, State PSEs, government departments, and Public Enterprises Selection Board.
